Information I may collect

This may include your name, telephone number, email address, property or job location, photographs, details of the electrical work or enquiry, quotation and invoice information, and records of communications or work carried out.

Most information is provided directly by you. Where someone contacts me on your behalf, such as a family member, landlord, tenant, managing agent or other representative, I may also receive information from that person where it is relevant to the enquiry or work.

Why I use personal information

I use personal information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, arrange and carry out electrical work, communicate about appointments and jobs, provide certificates or other documentation, issue invoices, maintain business records, deal with complaints and meet legal, accounting, insurance or regulatory obligations.

Lawful bases for processing

Depending on the circumstances, the lawful basis may be that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform a contract with you, to comply with a legal obligation, or for legitimate business interests such as managing enquiries, maintaining appropriate records and protecting legal rights. Where consent is specifically relied upon, you may withdraw that consent at any time, although this will not affect processing already carried out lawfully.

Website enquiries and WhatsApp

The website quotation form prepares the information you enter as a WhatsApp message. Nothing is sent automatically by the website: WhatsApp opens first so you can review the message before choosing to send it. If you use WhatsApp, email, maps or another third-party service, that provider will process information under its own privacy terms and may process information outside the UK using its own legal safeguards.

Sharing information

Personal information is not sold. Where necessary, information may be shared with professional advisers, accountants, insurers, certification or regulatory bodies, service providers, subcontractors where relevant to agreed work, or public authorities where required by law. Only information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose is shared.

Keeping information secure

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal information against accidental loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure. No method of electronic communication or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

How long information is kept

Personal information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable legal, tax, accounting, insurance, certification, warranty or record-keeping requirements. The appropriate period depends on the type of record and the reason it is held.

Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to request access to your personal information, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, request deletion, request restriction of processing, object to certain processing, or request transfer of information where the legal conditions apply. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis being used.

To exercise a data-protection right, contact Lee using the details above. I may need enough information to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Providing information

You are not required to use the website enquiry form. However, if I do not receive enough information to understand the work, contact you, prepare a quotation or meet legal or certification requirements, I may not be able to provide the requested service.

Automated decisions

Pure Electric does not use solely automated decision-making or profiling to make decisions about customers that have legal or similarly significant effects.
